Colorado Gathering - Creede?

Would there be any interest in a Montana gathering at Creede in southwest Colorado the September week before the Quartzite gathering? I wouldn't want to interfere with Quartzite, but would think folks might want it close enough on the calender to have the option of attending both without to much of a gap inbetween beyond travel.

Here is a link to the campsite http://www.mountainviewsrv.com/. Airstream had a rally there in 2006. They have around 90 sites and require 10 minimum for a rally. They have two great clubhouses and the surrounding area is gorgeous. All sites are huge and will accomodate quad slides plus vehicle parking. All sites have full hookups (50A). The elevation is around 8,500 ft, so it can get cold, but if we can catch the leaves turning it is gorgeous. Here is our trip there last week http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery....9&gid=17928203.

Just looking to see if I could generate some interest. They slow down in September and most likely would offer some good price breaks.

Brad and Dory,

I think it would be a great idea to have a Rally in your area. Maybe early Sept. Also what would it be like in the spring? Is it still too cold in late April or first of May? 8500 feet is really high but might work if the weather is not too cold or snowy.

We've only been in the very southern and western part of CO. It is beautiful country and we'd like to do more over that way.

By the way great pictures!

Dennis - They don't open until May, so I suppose it is pretty cold that early, and they may actually have a good chance of snow still hanging around. I know the upper passes don't open until late spring. I imagine to get the best bang, fall would be better. I wrote to them to find out what to expect in May.

Lonnie - Big time ATV country - they are everywhere. You drive em through town like a car.

That's all I had to hear buddie, I'm ready to go.

Maybe, if I get there after dark, nobody will notice what is following the Montana around .

Brad, our gathering in Quartzsite is in January not September. Just wanted to let you know so there is no confusion.

I agree with Brad...the Creede area is absolutely beautiful in the fall. The fall colors of the scrub oak and the aspen trees is a sight to behold.
Pencil us in.

Brad, We would be interested. Love it in Colorado and have not been in that area. We spent part of the summer in the Ridgeway, Ouray area. What camera did you use to take your pictures..........as they were beautiful.
