Steve, this is just an idea for you. When you come out of Walnut hills turn left on Rt 340 and go to Stuarts draft. About the 2nd lite turn right on 608 and stay on that until you get to Sherando. Turn right and stay on this road past Sherando Lake to the top of the mountain which will be the Blue ridge Parkway. Turn left and follow the parkway back to Rt 250. This is the joining of the Blue ridge Parkway and the Skyline Drive which continues north. As you are exiting to the left off of the Parkway there is a Holiday Inn up high to the left that has a nice resturant that overlooks the valley. Proceed west down the mountain to Waynesboro and you will merge in with Rt 340 again. This will take you back to Walnut Hills and give you a good round robin of the area. Of course you will want to be on 340 south to get back.LOL
