Axle Lug Nut Size
Can anyone tell me what size the lug nuts and stud are on the 3791RD?

On the 1/2" lug studs on these rigs, you can have anything from 3/4" to 7/8". On our rig, we have 7/8" nuts. The only way to be sure is to measure or try various sockets.

The manual says they can be either 1/2" studs or 9/16" studs. Looking at torque specs and it makes a difference - 120 ft/lbs or 150 ft/lbs. Guess I'll just have to remove one of the lug nuts to find out.

Be aware there is a difference between the threaded stud size and the socket size used to torque them. The stud or bolt size is measured in its outside diameter and the nut size is determined by its inside diameter. A 1/2" stud/bolt/nut size would require a 3/4" socket. A 9/16" stud/bolt/nut size would be 7/8" socket. https://www.boltdepot.com/fastener-i...imensions.aspx

Have not heard of anyone having an axle with 9/16” studs. All the axles on these rigs are Dexter and have 1/2” studs. Depending on who supplies the nuts will determine the size of socket needed.

Mine has the 9/16 studs but that is because of the 8k hubs when disc brakes were installed at Mor-Ryde. I believe you are correct about all studs being 1/2 '' with Dexter axles.

Mine are 1/2" studs; the lug nuts require a 3/4" socket. I carry a socket and torque wrench to check them periodically.
