Canada bound
We are going to Canada in June and July we will be traveling from eastern Oklahoma going north on I-29 to Fargo ND then NW to Minot crossing the border on US 52 to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan then west through Calgary to Banff where we will stay a while. We are considering going on to Jasper when we leave Banff. Has anyone pulled a fifth wheel from Banff to Jasper on Canadian highway 93? We will be pulling a 2014 mantana 3582rl with a 2015 four door Ram 3500 dully. Our return trip will be back by Glacier NP then Yellowstone, Jackson Hole then southeast back home at Sallisaw Oklahoma.
If anyone has any idea on things to see or do along the way please respond.
We are looking forward to the adventure.

Go for it theres nothing to restrict your travel plans to Jasper or anywhere on the trip you have suggested sounds like a great time. We have had our fifth wheel all over that area with no issues what so ever. The only thing to keep in mind is its our 150th birthday this year and there will be a zillion people on the roads travelling, renting camp sites etc so please plan accordingly. The Calgary Stampede starts the first Friday of July and its worth taking in the rodeo my next time will be my 20th time seeing it. Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, the Ice fields are all must see if you are in the areas. You are making me jealous this trip is my favourite in Western Canada and the places you have mentioned in the States are on our list for next years transcontinental holy crap she retired for real this time trip. Oh by the way you can go online and book reservations at any of the Gov campgrounds and I highly recommend doing so, its mostly dry camping but its great.

The hills into Jackson hole from west Yellowstone are way more treacherous towing than those around Banff and jasper. Hammer down and enjoy!

Look into Tunnel Mt 1 or 2 in Banff area. One has full hookups, I think. Also a very nice park is Whistler Campground in Jasper NP. It has large trees and full hookups too. Also bears in both.

Thanks everyone for the info we discovered it was Canada's 150th so we tried for reservations at tunnel mountain and found they were full for rigs our size. We were able to get reservations Canmore, we also got the Canadian park pass which will help on expenses. We will check on whistlers camp ground in jasper now we know highway 93 is RV friendly.

Yes with Canada's 150th celebrations and free national park entrance things will be very busy so I would recommend having reservations all along your trip.
You will enjoy Canmore. We actually prefer it over Banff as it is a lot less hectic yet has the same gorgeous mountain views and so many shops that are all about the tourists.
Canmore is just a short maybe 20 minute drive from Banff so day trips are a real breeze. As well there will.be many added attractions this year in celebration of Canada's 150th.
Enjoy and keep is posted

We made reservations at whistlers in jasper. The only thing they had open for mid June was dry camping but we can do that fine for four days. Looking forward to getting on the road again.

Get tickets to the tram not far from the Whistler campground and that gives you a fanatastic ride up the mountain. If you are an early bird you can get tickets for breakast and the tram for cheap with a view like no other.
