Hello All!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just joined the forum tonight after months of browsing countless other forums. I'm loving the "family vibe" here and the fact that everyone seems to be here to share and help, not argue and put-down.

My wife and I recently decided to sell the house and (almost) everything we own and full-time RV with our kids (6 & 4, girls) and dog. We are still in the process of liquidating but have decided on the 3711fl with a Ram 3500 drw/6.7/Asian and plan on hitting the road in the next 2 to 3 months. Through my research I'm planning on upgrading the tires and possibly doing an electric over hydraulic brake conversion for the 5er right from the start. I have lots of other questions that I'm researching and hoping to post here shortly. I'm big into safety and security for my family so all recommendations and constructive criticism are very much appreciated. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome to the MOC! Good decision on being pro-active on tires and the disc brake conversion is something I'd like to do, as well. Good luck with your plans.

Welcome to the forum! You are correct, this is a place populated by nice, kowledgable and helpful folks. We added IS and disk brakes and feel that was a very worthwhile expenditure.

Welcome. Enjoy your unit. Thumbs up on replacing the tires. When I picked mine up before even getting it home I stopped at a commercial tire dealer and had them replace all of the tires. I have also replaced the mattress with a sleep number. I too am considering the brake change out. Wish I were full timer but not quite ready yet.

Thanks mikedesj. Noticed you have a 3711fl. Just wanted to know what you think of it. Obviously you wouldn't have bought it if you didn't like it but I'm wondering about the little things you may have noticed since you got it. There are not very many options you can add/drop on them. But, since that is the model my wife has picked out, do you have any suggestions? I research everything to death so I am very interested in the real world light you could shed on this model. As always, all input is very much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
