The excitement is building

90 days. Gail retires in 90 days! The camping season is about to get under way here in northern Indiana so, dewinterizing may be taking place in a week or, so. And, things are coming together nicely in our new to us house that is making it "ours".

Come late July, friends and relatives are going to be seeing the tail lights of that thing and kissing my butt headed in a northwesterly direction for about 2 weeks. Then, we hope to start planning for about a month long winter trip to the Gulf Coast, somewhere!!

Hey Dale, stop the excitement. I felt like I was ready to retire all over again after reading your post. Enjoy each other on your new adventure.

Wow, years as growing up when you are young, then even more years working, then down to the last 90 days of this, to start a brand new lifestyle. I forgot how anxious that time could be especially when it's on your timing and you can look forward to this.

I say be excited as you can. I'm so excited, I just might have to hitch up and join you. I hope that after "kissing your butt" they wave good-bye and Bon Voyage. LOL.

Congrats on the upcoming adventures.

Thanks, everybody!! What makes today.....this day, March 29th, even better is that it is our 38th wedding anniversary! I went and bought a card and made reservations for dinner tonight. And since it's Easter weekend, I bought a potted Lilly. That thing is smelling up all 2300 square feet of this house! You folks think I'm gonna' make points??

Congrats to you and Gail on your 38th! Also an early congrats to Gail on her upcoming retirement! You'll like retirement but the only problems will be that you will never figure out how you ever got everything done while working and that you never get a day off from this retirement job! Never ending battle! Good luck and hope to see you at the Fall Rally! If you have some time this July come on out to the Central Plains Regional Rally and join in on some good Nebraska hospitality. It's a small rally but we have a really good time!

Wow.... what are the odds? We just had our 38th on March 1!

I guess you are keeping the stickhouse. Have a great trip to the Gulf and everywhere else you are gonna find the time to visit!

Rondo, That is a very good possibility! We are headed for Door County, WI so, I need to look at a calender to determine if we can make that work. We are planning 2 weeks via following the eastern shore of Lake Michigan and landing in Lake Leelanu for a few days. Then, heading up to the Mackinaw bridge to go into the UP and coming down around to Door County. We could go from there to the rally and head home from there. Hmm. Maybe this will be a 3 week trip! OH, right! Who cares, were retired!!!

Art, 1975 was a very good year, wasn't it! And.........1974 before that!

Concerning dinner last night, Gail's little sister and her husband joined us because, they were in our wedding party that night. Great time....life is good!! This is the same sister and brother-in-law that took us with them to Destin, FL a year ago and got us hooked on that part of FL. But, Gail and I was in Venice, FL years ago and, that area is a possibility to visit again, also.

Yes, life is good!
