That is a good fix. Keystone should have done that to begin with. My X2 is intolerant of long cable runs so cabling directly from the slide gives me more outside cable to find unobstructed sky.

Tried from the convenience center no luck. Installed directly through the slide and I was watching TV in about 10 minutes. Works great.

Thanks for the update. It is encouraging to hear how things turn out. I feel like Keystone owes us for features that don't work especially when they use them as selling points.

If that rebate form comes out, let me, and several thousand other Keystone owners know.

Montana Man-
Is the side of the slide out sturdy enough to hold the flush mount plate or did you reinforce from inside the connection area.

Plate screws seemed to go in solid material

The structure itself is sturdy. Where the screws go in there is enough thickness to hold the screw. However, I glued small blocks of hardwood behind the "laminate" to make for better screw retention.

I ordered the Kyle recessed switch plate
While I am waiting I'll run the coax through my drilled hole and get it out of the front door and off the floor.
Hard to believe the professional installer left it like this
When I get this front room TV done I'll work on running coax the the bedroom set
