Utility room ceiling vent/3400RL

We have a 2006 3400RL and on a recent trip we noticed what appeared to be a powered vent operating through the ceiling vent in the utility room (to the right just after entering the entrance door to the RV). Never noticed any fan running in the four years we have had this RV. Am I correct in assuming there is a fan attached to this vent ? If so, what makes it come on - there is no switch associated with it that I can find.

That is a vent to nowhere. There is no fan. The explaination we got was that it is a vent for the convertor execpt it is below the convertor and hot air rises?? at least it does everywhere else...maybe not in a Montana???? We did install a 4 inch Muffin fan there as our W/D is in that closet and it gets hot in there.
