Campgrounds with beach access

We are currently staying at Gulf Waters RV Resort on Mustang Island, Texas (near Port Aransas). This is our fourth or fifth time to stay here, this time and last for a month or more. Very nice place and a short walk to the beach. We are looking for other campgrounds to try in the future, preferably on the Gulf Coast, and preferably with beach access. I doubt we would stay in one place that far from home for a month, but might consider it. Any recommendations as well as time of year to go would be appreciated. TIA.

You want to stay in Texas or head on over and down to Florida, we got a few great spots.

X2 with LouRobin. Florida really has some nice beach access campgrounds. We just got back. Beautiful beaches.

If you are in California, Jalama Beach on the central California Coast is unbeatable. You just need to book through the Santa Barbra County Recreation Dept website at least 6 months out from when you want to camp.

We like Matagorda Bay Nature and RV Park. Stayed there the last two years. Large lots, very well kept, fishing pier in the river and close to the beach.

I checked their website. It looks like the longest sites are only 36 feet. Are some longer than posted? Also, it said some had elec., but when I poked in each site none had power.
Thanks.

LouRobin: Do you have any specific park recommendations in Florida? Fort Wilderness at Disney is on our bucket list, but we would like to find some nice parks that have beach access so that we could walk from our trailer to the beach (we haul our cabana and ice chest in a collapsible wagon). Any parks on the Gulf Coast between Texas and Florida that have beach access would also be welcomed.

Beach access on the outer banks. We are not fans of beach access with the RV. The sand gets everywhere . We will go to the beach but not camp at the beach. We winter in Florida were there is plenty of beach.

There are literally too many along the Gulf Coast to name.
