We have had to replace both the gray and the black water tanks in the past year. They both had cracks up high near the top neck. It looks as if they were stressed during factory install. Of course the warranty had ran out and the labor was the most expensive part. The local RV guys did not seem to have a problem getting tanks, it was just getting on his schedule for the install. Good luck.

As a fellow black tank fiasco member, congratulations on the repair.
I am wondering what an allure floor is also.

I wish my first reply wouldn't be about this! My black tank is also leaking. We bought our 3475 used last year and decided not to purchase the extended warranty because it was so expensive. I felt I could fix anything for 3500 dollars. I took the bottom off and instantly got covered in nasty, foul liquid. My black tank looks like it was defective since it was brand new because the plastic was so thin where the drain pipe was put in. The last owner kept it in mint condition so I know it wasn't from neglect. I hope this doesn't stop me from enjoying it. Otherwise it's been great and we love it!

The 3400 is back in the driveway..new black tank installed. all cost less 50.00 deductible covered by our RV Shield Service Contract (Extended Warranty) The original estimate was just around 1000.00 however the bill before me is 729.00. The tank was 245.00 shipped from the Keystone service center in a timely manner I might add and 364.00 labor. Rv Shield allowed 5 hours labor but the dealer did it in 4 hours+ at 89.00 per hour. The rest is plumbing and tax.. I see no shiping charges or cost for the front two panels of Artic package material. It is a neat job.. all new plumbimg and everything works including the black tank guages.( they installed lock washers on the new ones) In our case the service contract paid off... and we have 5 years left..

Rich,
I'm glad to hear that your black tank is installed. What a relief that has to be. Your extended warranty is certainly paying for itself! Good to hear. Too bad there isn't some sort of extended warranty for the price of fuel!
Later,
Dennis

This is a interesting observation.. When I talked to the vendor direct they said the cost of the tank was 245.00 and shipping was 132.00 UPS. Now although tne tank came from that very same vendor it was ordered through Keystone and shipped from the service center. Total cost 245.00 no shiping charge indicated???????
