Galveston, TX - State Park

DW and I were on our way fishing this morning and lo and behold, there was a Monty on 61st St. Fortunately for a red light, I was able to honk, slow to a stop and shout out over the Diesel noise (er sound).

I didn't get their names, but was able to ascertain that they did not know about the MOC. I passed as much information as possible out the window, and the DW in the TV of the other vehicle was writing frantically.

They were on their way to the State Park in Galveston, tX.

With any luck, we'll have some new MOCer's.

What a great group of people on the MOC forum!

That's a pretty neat SP, too. It's been a few years since we've been, but we have fond memories. My brother is a Galveston resident - a very interesting city with a wealth of character and history.

Yes it is VanMan. I made my first Run-For-The-Wall, picking it up in Weatherford. Nice area. Nice state park just outside of town there by about 20 miles.

I received an email from "kroencke" (Jackie and Dave) They are the ones I met on the way to Galveston.

Welcome to both of you. I hope you find this site as interesting as I do.

Way to go, Wayne! You are a good example of the helpful folks on this board. And you have
such great taste for food as well! BTW, we took our Kingwood family to the PP and they loved
it, too. Hope to see you if you come down to CC. We are in a nice park in Rockport.

We have not decided where we will be going yet.
I still think it will be down around the area you are in - or NAS Corpus if they have space.

We had dinner with Jim and Joan (last name on other computer) the other day. Very nice couple staying in Kemah, TX. We are all going to the Houston RV show on the 13th.

We found a very nice place to eat today. BBQ Rib buffet on NASA Parkway for $8.95 a person. (And I can't understand why I don't loose weight!!) Come on back and we'll take you there.

Anyone else going to the Houston RV Show? Let us know and we can all link up. (MINI RALLY)
