membership camping?

We were wondering if any moc members belong to western horizons and their campground affilities. We would like pros and cons about them , if you do. We were thinking that just being part time, the western camps would be just right for winter camping and the ones up north for summer. It seems the campgrounds are gettin so crowded now it might be benificial to have reservations no matter where you go...We were just wondering. Thank you for any replies. Janet

I can't comment on Western Horizons but have been invited to listen to their presentation at different times. Just never could get together on a scheduled time. We do, however, have membership in Thousand Trails and Escapees RV Club. We think it is beneficial (in the long run) to have a membership in something like Western Horizon and/or Thousand Trails. The initial outlay is pricey but will pay off if you do a lot of traveling. Escapees RV Club membership is very reasonable. You can check them out at www.escapees.com. If you want to, give them my membership number: 65543. With that and $1.25 you can get a cup of coffee (no doughnut).

We too belong to Thousand Trails. We now have upgraded to National so we can go out west. We have found it worth the money.
