TV cable hookup help

Got real tired of trying to screw those coaxial TVcable connectors onto the connectors on the Monty, especially when the hinged cover is in the way...and, of course, it is always raining and cold..

Found a nifty solution at Radio Shack..pack of two right angle connectors for attaching the coaxial cable for either the dish or cable TV hookup. One end of the "elbow" screws in to the end of the coax cable, the good news is that the part that hooks onto the Monty receptical is a just a "slip-on"...none of that fiddeling around under that hinged cover plate to screw on the connector. Also, since it is a right angle assembly, the coax lies flat egainst the side of the rig instead of protruding straight out...easier to open the storage compartment door just below the TV hookup locations. Cost was about $3.50 for a pair of the connectors. Use at each end of the TV cable when hooking up...real fast and easy!

Best Regards,

PJ & Nan,
Thanks for the tip. I have fumbled with that connector often. Will check out Radio Shack for those connectors.

Great idea. Don't need them here but will need them next week. Guess who's headed for Radio Shack?

We've used the slip on connectors for a long time but ours are straight, not right angle. I didn't know they came in right angle but I'm going to switch to those. Thanks for the tip.
