Trailer Brakes

Thank Goodness for "State Inspections" because I wouldn't have found this problem since I had the brakes relpaced in Nov of 2010, 6 months after I purchased the Montana fifth wheel 3665re.
Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong. I have my brake control set at "6". Is that too high? Something is causing my brake pads to wear out fast. These new pads were put on 18 months ago and now the "back pad" on both wheels are shot! In fact I was
there when the guy pulled the wheels and not only the pad was worn out but metal shavings in the drum.

I set mine at 8. First guess on my part, brakes not adjusted properly and dragging.

Yes, the replacement was a bad job, I wouldn't go back to the same guy. If they are set up right this would not have happened...
(Master of the obvious...)
Good luck on the fix, you should be fine if the guy is competent that is doing the repair.
