Dead Bolt

The last few times we where out the the Dead Bolt wasn't working very good. We had to wiggle the key and flip the lock a few times to get it to work and then it quit working all together. We ended up only the handle lock. Today I was doing a few things around the Monty so I decided to take the door handle apart and see what was broken. Well there wasn't anything broken only 2 screws that hold the lever pieces to the key lock together were loose. I tightened them up and all work well again. If it loosened up while locked I would have had to climb up through the laundry hatch to open the door from the inside.
If this happens to you take th handle out of the door and check the screws before buying a new Lock Assembly.

Also a little of your wife's nail polish will help to keep the screws from backing out, yet they will easily come out with a screwdriver.

When I took it apart to fix I didn't have ether available but one day I will take it apart and add lock tight. I have seen on here that some members have gone out and bought a new lock set and this may have been all that was wrong with it. Ether suggestions are a good part of the repair to add.

Hey Michael, does only Kat's nail polish work or can we use some we buy at a store? The devil made me say that!
