Goodbye Phoenix, hello, California!

What a wonderful month we've had in Phoenix! We will miss being around family and having Gene and Shirley as our neighbors. We will miss those spontaneous MT games! There's so much to do in the Phoenix area and we barely touched the surface so we will be back. Our advice to anyone thinking about Phoenix for their winter playground....don't hesitate. It's a great place for Snowbirds.

We're heading to Quartzite for three nights and then on to Seal Beach, CA which is south of LA. On the road again......

Steve and Sharon Andreason also pulled out of Apache Junction this Am after three weeks alongside us. They have work Commitments back in Iowa But they did make reservatons at this park next year for 3 months. There were a lot of MOC'ers in this area , we had a mini rally and a all over fine time. This is indeed a nice area to spend the winter. We have @ 3 more weeks here then our tentitive travel route is El Paso, San antonio, Baton Rouge and finally Mobile , Al for our FCRV campvention. We will have 9 days to get there so there will be stops at..points of interest along the way.

Judy:

We just left Seal Beach today, as we had mentioned in out phone call.

Seal Beach will want you to enter via the commercial truck gate, about 150 yds east on Westminster from the intersection of Seal Beach Blvd and Westminster. If no one is there, just pull up and wait...they monitor the gate.

Best site, if it is open, is the one we left, #25, is right on the end of a row. Alternatively, for a rear lounge RV, the back row of RVs look out over the open areas.

Be sure to have dinner at Walt's Warf in Seal Beach...$$ but great food/service.

Best to you both,

Thanks, Karen, it was great to meet you and John, too. Hope you find the perfect Montana!

Sorry to hear that we're going to miss you guys, P.J. and Nan. Thanks for the advice, especially the tip about Walt's Wharf.

Judy and Glenn,
I am so happy to hear that Phoenix worked out well for you. It is a very large and nice city. Lot's of things to see and do.

Good to know that Plomosa is still there. Enjoy it the second time around. I'll bet it is absolutely gorgeous out there this time of year. Some beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy. And if you get up this way give us a call. Remember you are always welcome.

See you later and enjoy your stay in the LA area.

Dennis and Mary Kay

Where so you stay in Seal Beach? Our daughter is in Huntington Beach and I am having a hard time convincing Chuck to even go near the LA area with the Monty - BTW, we have been keeping up with you guys - sounds like you are having a wonderful trip!

We are having a wonderful trip, Suzanna, and enjoyed meeting you folks in San Antonio to start it off.

We will be at the Naval Station campground in Seal Beach. We're driving in on Sunday to make sure that we travel in minimal traffic. I'll let you know if our plan worked!

Your plan may not work. It is going to be warm this weekend after several weeks of cold (by our standards). People will be out and about and that area is always crowded. Just take it easy.
Happy trails.....................

That doesn't sound good, Sue, but we'll plow through. Warm weather sounds good!

Dave and Victoria, it was great to meet you folks, too, and we hope to return to Phoenix again some time since my brother has moved there. It's also a great place to meet with other MOCers as they winter there.
