We leave Friday for South Padre-ownership change

The Destination South Padre Island RV Resort has been sold to KOA, we had reserved a spot last year, (and paid for it) KOA said they would honor it, so I guess we are OK.
Will try to meet some of you RGV folks there. We will try also to make Pepi's for the lunch.
Glad we aren't in ole K.C. now, it is finally getting cold and yucky there.
Beautiful weather here in Rockport, I got a little Sunburn on my bike ride today, in the 70's. Cool Beans.

Ozz, be sure to go to Dirty Al's on South Padre. It is just down the road from where you'll be staying. Excellent shrimp, rowdy atmosphere and good beer!!

Bob n Pam, You bet, I have one of Al's hats hanging on my wall now. One of my favorite spots there, he is a Hoot!
We were sitting with one of the best Elvis music singers I have ever heard 2 years ago there, a 'Portly' gentleman from Dallas, sure could sing. It was a Karaoke evening.
Blackbeard's for Chicken Fried Chicken too! Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ozz: Don't be in a hurry to get to the RGV. Sunday, a cold front is coming in and it will only be in the 40's / 50's during the day for part of next week.

Well, I'm further North now, so maybe the 200 miles South will be a little warmer.
I have a loose travel rule, when I can get around the town I'm in with no problems, find the Wal*Mart, eaten at the best places, then it's time to move on.
