401 Heading East

On Friday morning last weekend, in the space of an hour, we passed four Montanas heading east between Brockville Ont and the Quebec border. At first I thought they were being delivered to a dealer but then I noticed a couple had bicycles on a carrier. Any member?

Jim and Diane, where are you from? We are heading back home in May, home being Madoc, Ontario. That is a great picture.
Isn't it nice to see Montana's on the road. They show well. We have a 3400RL and truck just like yours. Have you had any problems with towing? Not likel, but thought I would ask since we have not towed this big rig yet except 30 minutes from the dealer to the RV park here in Surrey, BC.
Thanks, Diane

Hi Diane and Dennis

We are from Montreal although we show our State as Vermont because we have a cottage there and keep our Montana, our hearts and truck there. We have no trouble towing and have travelled about 10,000 miles with our Montana.

The photo was taken at Camp Hatteras a campground in Waves NC. It's on a barrier island and it's not unusual to get fantastic sunsets. Also, the photo was taken the first day that the roads were open in the area after a hurricane which helps explain the sky.

Our Montana is one of the oldest (a 1999 3350RS) and we hope to upgrade to a 3400 when we retire next year. In fact, we stopped at a Montana dealer in Whitby Ontario to look at one last week!

Happy camping, take it easy with the Montana and you'll find it tows like a dream.

Jim & Diane.
