external furnace access door

Having problems with my 2003 Monty's Suburban furnace. Access to the furnace has always been a problem as it has no external door. I've heard of folks installing an exterior door for maintenance. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts with such a mod or where to find a kit?

Disconect the gas line,duct work and and two wires remove two screws that hold the unit to 5he floor and unit will slide out! The units with access out side door are different design/brand

To be a little clearer Atwood brand has the door on the outside Suburban brand like in your Montana does not you have to access from the inside only hope this helps?

If you are going in that direction, jusr replace it with an attwood and use their outside removeable covef as the access point.
