Relocating Ground Control Panel
Folks,
When I store my RV, I sometimes end up with large trucks beside me. I cannot always open the basement door to get at the leveling system. Has anyone relocated that panel to an independent access point?
Thanks in advance
Andy

Andy, what year is your unit and what model? Not sure where exactly yours is located. You may need to make sure that your unit is waterproof.

He has a 2019 - 321MK (from one of his previous posts).
He has the Lippert electric leveling system and the control panel is in the basement (screen shot below). I have no idea how many wires feed to the panel or if there if there is any extra wire hung behind the wall.
On my unit - the panel is in a small recessed lockable compartment. It is probably weather resistant but I don’t know if it is meant to be completely exposed to weather like it would be if you mount it to the exterior wall just outside it’s current location in the basement. Maybe someone else can advise about the weather resistance of the panel.

If that's mounted to the forward Basement wall, how about moving it to the other side and putting it in the battery compartment.
Yes, you would be ducking into the compartment, but once you started the auto level you can back out and let it finish. Or depending on how long the wiring harness is, put a wire wrap around the harness and just hang up the panel. Pull it out and hold it in your hand while leveling.

Easy. Cut a hole, install this box and the control panel.
