2019 3811MS Fireplace switxh

I recently purchased a 2019 Montana 3811 MS. I was told there is a switch somewhere for power to the fireplace to prevent kids from turning it on unwanted. Anyone know where that is? I have searched all over and can’t seem to find it.

I haven't heard of that. Not that it doesn't have one, mine doesn't. Maybe installed by the pervious owner?

The switches on my unit are sort of “hidden” in a little slot on the front. I am absolutely confident that my 3 yr old grandson could find the switches and start clicking away. And of course I have the remote…but I don’t recall anything about a child lock function in my couple of pages of flimsy documentation that came with my unit.

If my grandson refused to follow orders and insisted on working the switches - I would look to see if his mother was close by and then I would pop his butt. After that I would look at the breaker switches to see how many other circuits are on the same one as the fireplace…and maybe I could shut it down at the panel…but the TV might be on the same circuit.

On ours there is a flap the full width that folds down, exposing the controls behind it.
