Verizon air card using stype

We will be on the road in August and need wireless internet. We will probably go with verizon. The wife likes to use stype to keep tabs with the family. My question is does anyone use stype, and if so how does it affect the 5 gig monthly limit. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to SKYPE? Unless you are viewing a lot of movies or doing a lot of big downloads you will not go over your limit. The Skype works fairly efficiently and using it on a normal basis it should not take you over the limit.

I use it with my Verizon air card and haven't had any problems at all

We also use Skype without problems on a Verizon aircard.

You might also look at Google Video. We found it easier to setup and use than Skype....just a thought.
