I presume you had to remove a storage compartment or drawer at the bottom of that space?
Looks great!

Nice job. Have a few questions for you:
1) Did you have to rework any of the cabinetry to get it in?
2) Where did you order the fridge from?
3) Is the new fridge lighter or heavier than the original one?
4) Did both fit through the door ok?
5) How is the fridge bolted down so it won't move while traveling?
Thanks for any info, Seriously thinking about doing this same mod.
Scott

Looks real nice. I would add to Scott's questions -
- did you install an inverter to power while you are traveling
- if so what battery configuration did you set up
- if so, what inverter brand and watts did you install?
thanks
Steve

Yes I had to remove the cabinet. But no other Mods to cabinet, except tying up and hiding all the wires.

Had to take all three doors off to get it in, and then it was a little tricky getting it in past the island.

1) Did you have to rework any of the cabinetry to get it in? Just had to remove the bottom of the cabinet
2) Where did you order the fridge from? Got it from Lowes Samsung Mod# RF18HFENBSR
3) Is the new fridge lighter or heavier than the original one? Don't know sorry, I didn't compare.
4) Did both fit through the door ok? Had to remove doors on Both.
5) How is the fridge bolted down so it won't move while traveling? Its not yet, I have an Idea to strap it in but we won't be traveling for a while. We actually have a small springdale to go camping in.
Thanks for any info, Seriously thinking about doing this same mod.

Have not installed an Inverter yet as we won't be moving it for a while.

I installed same unit and removed the front leveling screws and using shims to keep from rocking, lag screwed to floor. In the rear screwed to floor at each rear roller and it has not moved in the travels we have done so far.

Rescue7: You have the same model Montana as I do, do you have any pics of the install? How long of screws did you use in the floor?
By your name I assume you are a retired Firefighter? So am I, 36 years on the job.

used 3" screws in front with spacers and 1 1/2 in back. Also put down 1/4" plywood on linoleum as I noticed the wheels were sinking into it. Took the outside vents and used spray foam to seal off and insulate. Also order a 6/36" black grill to put above refrigerator space at top to close off but have ventilation.
Yes retired firefighter. Will try to post picture later.
