2955RL cabinet use

We have a 2006 2955RL. I am wondering how everyone else uses that tall narrow cabinet under the TV. Not the one directly under the TV for the computer and the slide out drawer, but the one at the bottom that I currently store my vacuum hose and accessories in. It is tall enough to store something good in but too narrow for most things. What do you all use it for? Thanks...Joanie

we have a 2980 which is almost the same entertainment center "catch all" I am thinking about making glass incerts for the cabinet doors and a exhost fan then mount the stero components in there or................ some thing that works.

Our is a 2010 2955Rl and below the TV is a shelf type slot for the sound system receiver (we also put our sattelite receiver there) and below that is where they have put the furnace with a panel in front. No storage at all. Send a picture of the area and I'll bet someone here will come up with a great idea.

To the left of the fridge on our unit is a pantry area. I plan to build pull out shelves to upgrade this pantry area. I will post pictures if I ever get the job done.

In our 2010 3075RL we have pull out drawers in our cabinet next to the stove. We love them. If you are going to build them yourself, you can fit the height and number of drawers to suit your needs. Send us a pic when you finish.

I have a 2005 2955RL and in that space I store heavy objects. I mostly have can goods stacked up in there, because it's at floor level to support that weight. Just like under the sink is where I store water, juices, and jugs of tea.

In the 08 2955RL we had I would huck stuff in there that I didn't want to look at. I didn't have enough sense to figure a good use for it. It always surprised me what was in there every time I opened it up. It was kind of fun for me.

We put a Burley Oakham Electric fireplace in there. It's heater takes the chill off in the morning when we don't use the furnace and in the daytime it keeps the furnace from coming on to often. Better their power than our propane.

The fireplace is a great idea! I really need the storage so we went to Home Cheapo and bought 2 storage racks that have 2 shelves each on them. they are not large but will work nicely in there. We will put canned goods on them. That leaves about 10 inches of free space on the other side of the cabinet. DH will put a hook in there and I am sewing a fabric tube to hold all the plastic bags from the grocery store in. thanks for the suggestions. They all tweaked my imagination!

In our 2955 we use that cabinet to store trays and cookie sheets due to the narowness of the depth.

On my 2010 they installed the central vaccuum to the right and a fake front on the rest, I believe it's where they would have put the fireplace if one had been ordered. I plan to open the area up and see if I can make shelves to hold DVD and CD so they are in easy access of the stereo. I plan the leave the frame work and pop out the two panels and use them to make doors for the front, still in the planning stage now, but that my general thought.

I think that space is a little different depending on the year of your unit.

It has been so long since I even looked in there that I can't recall what we use it for. It is such a small space that maybe we just store junk in there.

We use that space in our 06 2955RL as a liquor cabinet. The bottles are heavy, and would really make a mess if they broke, so my wife made a set of quilted covers for the bottles, and we store them there.

DH installed the 2 small wire shelves today and they are gonna work out great! We will store the furry kids food cans in there and other canned goods. A small area on the floor will be where I store plastic grocery bags. We are almost ready for our 5 month trip!! woohoo!
