tire change
Going to get some g614's installed on my new Mountaineer. I am worried about how they are going to lift to take off tires and I am wondering if I should use the level up to raise it for them. If so, do I unhitch first?

We raised our previous Montana 3900FB with the LevelUp, pulled all 4 tires, took them to Wingfoot to replace the Marathons with G614s, then put them back on the Monte. It may not be recommended, but we did it and had no problem. Ours was not hitched.

If you are taking the rig to the tire shop, no need to unhitch. Just put the system into manual mode and push the rear button and the rig will lift just fine. You will not be adding anymore weight to the truck than it already has. If, when lifting, the rig was not quite level from one side to the other, you can use the left or right button to adjust as necessary. When the job is done, push the retract button and then the rear button until all the jacks have been retracted, and you are done. Enjoy those new tires. Just make sure they install the high pressure stems that can handle at least 110 psi.

And metal stems if you're going to use tire pressure monitors.

Another point about the tire pressure monitor. The monitor cap is about 3" long. If you don't have clearance for it and enough room to get the air chuck on, consider having an angled metal valve stem added.

Got the 614's installed today. Used the level up and it worked like a charm and blew the tire shop guys away. I cannot believe what a cheep tire the Trailer Kings are. The sidewalls are like a wet noodle. I am so glad I found this forum and took the advise I read here.
