AWNING FABRIC REPLACEMENT

Could someone direct me to a site, that would have step by step instructions on the removal and replacement of the awning fabric. No it's not for me, I am trying to help a neighbor who has purchased the replacement fabric, but we have no instructions.
I want to help him, bit with springs and such involved, I really don't waht to mess things up. Ok, Iam standing by..... THANK YOU JOHN

Try this for starters ... http://www.rverscorner.com/articles/awning01.html
This is definitely a two person / two ladder job. Actually back your pickup up to the RV side ... provides room to "walk it off".

John,
This can be done without removing the spring loaded end if you desire.
It is necessary to drill a hole in to one end of the roller tube channel. This hole should be just large enough to accept the rib of the awning fabric and drilled at an angle. Suggest a lubricant be avaiable to assist sliding the fabric thru the channel. It is much easier to do if you have three people to help with the project. Remove both ends of the fabric at the same time with the old awning open completely.
For your consideration, good luck.
