Nevada's, Silverton RV Park.
Well last week we went to Nevada, and WERE going to stay over at the Silverton RV Park at the west end of town, we rolled in about 6 or 7 PM and to our surprise it was closed down. what a shocker but we then went to the OASIS no problem camping now.
But it's just a FYI for all there is no more Silverton RV Park.
when comming back from Terrables RV Park in Pahrump 7 days later the bulldosers were at work crushing the Silvertons office and pulling trees and shrubery.
What a shame, the word is another hotel of sort.

Here was their address:
3333 Blue Diamond Rd.
Las Vegas, NV 89139
We stayed there last June when we attended the Coffee Expo---it was OK but the only drawback... it appeared to be in the flight path of McCarran airport. I think the Oasis is also on Blue Diamond just north of where Silverton was, across the freeway bridge.

When we came through after the rally in Minden last October they had already closed most of the campground and what wasn't closed was full so we had to stay at the Oasis. My Sister was staying at the Silverton Hotel so it was a bummer but they told us then that it would only be open a few more weeks. There is so much building going on in that area. Soon Parhump will be a suburb of Vegas.

Yes, it is over some of the flight path, as is the Oasis, but I think the Silverton wasn't as expensive as the Oasis daily fee but the Oasis has a much nicer park with the trees and grassed areas. Another new thing at the Oasis is, if you have pets you sign a contract that if you dont pick up after your pets droppings it's a $50.00 fine and if you catch another its a $25.00 reward you, I did ask how do they prove it was the accused doggies dump, and I asked if a DNA test was in order. No answer from the desk person just a stair from the boss and a chuckel from the help.

We have reservations at the Oasis on May 1st for a couple of days. Any other details on what we can expect? Is the shuttle service to the strip casinos reliable? What was the workout room like? Is it easy to get into from north bound I-15, would you use the Blue Diamond exit or the one before it? We've never been to Terribles at Pahrump either, what's that like? We are headed north for a month's stay at Silver City RV park, and then spending the summer back at Lake Tahoe.

Mary and Rex the blue Diamond off rampis your off ramp turn right at Los Vegas Blvd and turn right at the next signal to Oasis RV Resort , signs will be on billboards and you can see the sign in the sky . I'll post you a picture of the camp ground and spots. spaces 400 thru 413 are great stay away from the freway area very noisey.
OK I got it here it is.

Thanks for the advice about staying away from the freeway side. That's a problem we never had to consider at the Silverton.
