Chairs with storage

Our unit has those chairs with storage under the seats. The bottoms are secured with staples. Over time, and maybe over stuffing, has caused the chair bottoms to become loosened. My fix was to take some spare stainless 1" cap screws and re-attach the bottom. I put one in the center on each side and one in each corner into the brace. It should be much better than before the repair.

Stiles,
I had to do the same thing after we stored some bottles of wine in a chair and the bottom came loose.

Stiles,
I had to do that and had some of the major leg and side joints separate so screws and glue helped.

I better not say anything about how well ours are doing in our 2004. If I do they will probably collapse. Glad you guys were able to fix them up. They sure are handy and all our friends are envious

Speaking of those chairs, we put those small sliding disc (1 inch from Lowes) on each leg and they are so much easier to handle sliding out to clean or sit down to. They still stay in place when traveling. Just a FYI if anyone was interested. Made a big difference because like everyone else the more you put in them for storage the heavier they get moving around.
