Slides
Twice now, when we go to put the slides IN, the bedroom slide and the kitchen slide go in as usual, but the living room slide goes about 1/4 of the way in and then everything stops, wait about 30 seconds and hit the button and they go the rest of the way in - any ideas why this would happen - have plenty of hydraulic fluid so that is not it - thanks for any input!

I believe you may have a thermal fuse in the circuit. This will interrupt the circuit for a few seconds and then cut the DC back to the slide motor.

There has been some discussion on this issue, but I couldn't find the thread. The 50 amp auto reset breaker on the slide hydraulic pump is probably the culprit. Also, there was mention of the ground wire not being a good ground. I merely added a 30 amp breaker in parallel with the factory 50 amp breaker. That cured the problem for me. The service manager at our dealer said this is a common problem on new units.

Mine did the same thing. I simply replaced the breaker with a new one of the same size and it now works fine.

I'm having the same problem with my 2008 3400RL. When we closed the slides yesterday, the motor stopped several times. After waiting a few seconds each time, it continued to close. I checked all my ground connections and everything seemed ok. I understand that this may be a circuit breaker problem. My question is: Can someone tell me where the breaker is and what it looks like and should I increase the amperage of the breaker? Some guys say that this will stop the problem. I do lubricate my slides on a regular basis so therefore I am sure that this has nothing to do with this problem. If anyone has pictures on the installation of the new breaker, I sure would appreciate seeing them. Thanks for the info.

See ARJ's reply on this topic and click on the thread that Allen posted. I discusses it a little more. I haven't followed that thread all the way, but there may be some pictures there the way the discussion was going....JB
