Broom for slide out roofs
I don't like to walk on the Monty's roof, so I made a few changes to a push broom to clean the slide out roofs. It cost under $18.00 for the push broom, pvc pipe, and fittings. I used two sets of threaded fittings to disassemble it for storage. A painters telescopic extension handle could be used instead of the broom handle if a longer handle is needed

Okay Don how did you get into my brain and copy this idea. LOL I had this all figured out but haven't done it yet. Did you paint the PVC pipe? Good job! I was afraid the PVC pipe wouldn't be strong enough. Glad you tested it!
Happy trails......................

Sue I have been waiting for you to post your idea, but I become impatient.
The pipe is 3/4" pvc and a little wobbly but works. If something ever breaks, I will try using 1" pvc.

Would a 3/4 inch dowel rod inside the pvc components add to its strength and stability?

Steve
A wood dowel might help, but not sure it is needed, I have only used it a couple of times so far. If it becomes too wobbly, I will try your idea, thanks for the suggestion.

Good idea Steve. I think I'll go with heavier PVC first and then if that doesn't work, use the dowel.
Happy trails.....................
