I purchased the Rand McNally "Motor Carriers' Road Atlas" which shows the low clearances on all routes used by truckers in the US and Canada. In NYS, the statutory bridge height is 14'0". The Atlas shows all bridges with clearances of 13'11" or less. There are quite a number of low clearances in NYS including 9-footers in the Newburgh area, some 11-footers down around Rhinebeck, and 12-footers scattered around the state. None of these are on major routes like the Thruway, I-88, or the Northway. Since we are from NYS (Schenectady originally) we do some prowling around on the "minor" NY highways with our Montana. Always check the Atlas before heading on an unfamiliar route. Also, as Orv suggested, most campgrounds will provide you with directions that avoid such problems. Shadow Brook Campground in Cooperstown is a perfect example (and a terrific place to park the Monty for a few days!).

PS - should also add that your Monty is about 12'9" measured to the top of your A/C (unless they have gotten taller in the last year or so). Max Aires vent covers extend 14" above the roof level so do not appreciably add to the height of your Monty if you have them installed as well as an A/C. I have the Max Aires and feel comfortable assuming that the height of my Monty is about 13'3" ... which is below the statutory bridge height in all states and Canadian provinces.
