Rich

All of the expensive items that I had to pay for were in the first year of ownership. Extended warranty wouldn’t have helped. Since then I have had problems related to poor construction / workmanship that were not costly.

A 2 year warranty and a company interested in seeing that their customers are reasonable happy with their unit would have corrected all the problems I have had. The 5 year structure warranty would have taken care of the structure failures I have had.

So the bottom line of the financial ledger is had I purchased a unit in the same category as our next one I would be in the same place I am now just a whole lot happier with the manufacturer than I am with Keystone.

I don't remember my first TT having these quality concerns. It was a Sunline. My second one had sawdust in the lights and sloppy workmanship. It was a Cougar, another Keystone product. But, Sunline is long gone, and Keystone rolls on.
Agree. We had a 28 foot sunline for five years and never had to fix anything. Made in PA and best built trailer we have owned.

I cross my fingers every time we go out that there aren't going to be any problems. Most of the time it is something small that I can fix, but we have had major items like the infamous "holding tanks". Like Dick said, we the consumer keep buying them, so why should they change their method of building them. Less time building them means more profit and that is what America is about "profits", the hell with quality.
