cable splitter

Where is the splitter in the newer Montanas/Mountaineers? My old MOntana had it in the bedroom closet.
My problem is the BR tv worked, but the living room didn't. So I assume the splitter or the cable from BR to Living Room is bad.
Ideas?

Haven't looked behind the antenna amp in the bedroom closet to see what is there as everything works in my unit. I would suspect crappy connections done by assy line, bad crimping, before a splitter causing an issue. I am in the process of re-doing all of mine with compression connectors because I know the cheap crimped ones are an issue. John

Don't know if this will help but I have a splitter buried in the ceiling behind the power amp plate in the bedroom. If you remove the
power amp plate and reach in the ceiling I have a splitter buried
in there.

At least the newer models LOOK better now! In the BR closet, there is nothing but the 12V cig. lighter plugin for the TV, the cable plug and a 120v plug cover (I think). Nice and neat but no 2nd cable or the splitter.
So my guess is that is is behind the wall. I just haven't gotten around to it yet as I am suffering some sort of plague lately and not feeling well.

I would agree with what the other poster said about the fittings. I found out when I installed DirecTv that I was constantly losing communications with the SWM even though I had good connections all the way around. I took off the wall plate and looked behind it and Keystone used real crappy crimp on F-fitting connectors. I replaced all those connectors with compression connectors and now no more trouble. Those crimp fittings were also used on the external hookup as well. To be fair mine is an older unit but crimp on fittings are very poor and fail easily. So it may not be the splitter but one of your fittings even behind the wall plate that is letting loose.
