2008 Ford 350 King Ranch??????

Well off went to Ford dealer, and order sheet drawn up on a 2008 Ford 350 King Ranch with every option except DVD player. Priced $58,850, keep in mind this is a very small dealer. They wouldn't come off that number, trade was our Chevy Kodiak c4500 and again was way off on trade. I will not pay MSRP, never have never will. Had already made plans to go with the 2007 Chevy Silverado classic, however stopped and looked at one, this 2007 has the same dash that we had in our 2005. So called Chevy dealer again and told him we didn't want the classic. So we ordered a 2007.5 Chevy 3500 dually with all options, less money than the Ford, but can't order uptil the last week of April. Was then told its possible it could be a 2008. Doesn't matter the 07.5 has a awesome dash lay out. We decided not to get Nav system or DVD player. So Montana Sky you were right, I just can't leave the GM Trucks. We still have the Chevy Kodiak for sale. But its a done deal we are staying with GM. That Duramax/Allison is awesome, this will be our 5th D/A combo. GBY...

P.S. It will have the LTZ option.....

Lindy,
Congrats on your new 3500 Dually! I am very envious and will be looking forward to hear all about it when you pick it up... You are right, I do not think I could really leave the GM family. The Ford is a nice truck, but will probably end up with another Duramax when the time comes.

before buying go to the www.dieselplace.com/ to buying new sections you can get a like xplan number and save thousands on new! Is what I did. also the one for ford has the same where you can get a xplan number. don't have that URL. maybe another here has it. But only get one if you are really going to buy. as they work for the Gm and ford and they only get so many and they want to help but besure they are in fact used.

The Chevy Kodiak is a awesome TV. I have owned a 3500 1 ton dually prior to the Kodiak. The only reason we went to a 4500 was to get a better ride, with the Air Suspension and Air Ride seats. The 4500 has a much better ride than the 3500. Some people don't believe that but just ride the 3500 and then get in the Kodiak. As for going back to the 3500 1 ton. Well the main reason is Delaine's Mom has a serious Heart condition. We want be able to travel for a unknown time. And we are going to have a house put on our view. Delaine has a eye condition and has a hard time with the mirrors on the 4500. The Kodiak is a superb TV, wish someone would buy it before we take it to the dealer for the new 3500. Its paid for, so if anyone shows up with cash or a certified check they can take it home. If we get to traveling again, there may be another MDT in our future. GBY...

OK. I can see that. as you can tell by my signiture, we have a chevy 3500 and have been very happy with it, but it made me wonder. You should post your truck for sale on this site incase someone is interested...and with some pictures. I know you got my attention, and I'm not even looking!

Thanks Billy Ray, we have it listed on our Web site and on Rv sales. We also have the Cambridge for sale. It would be a terrific Rig for someone. We really don't care if we sale the Cambridge or not because we can't get another one. If we did buy again we will buy a Big Sky or the Mobile Suites. Take a look at our Web site.

I can understand the dealer not budging from his price. The truck is brand new and in high demand. I read where Ford had 40,000 orders for the truck before the first one was even built. Dealers are not going to give you (or me) a discount if they can turn right around and sell that truck for full price in short order. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to buy this summer they'll be giving some discounts or we may buy SOB. Price is definitely a factor. Good luck with your new truck.

WOW...that's very nice. it's kinda of like mine on steroids. I have a prohauler body made by alumaline. I actually looked at that body, but not being full time, I didn't want to spend quite so much.
