Ours is here too!

We just took delivery this afternoon of our new 2007 Chev. Silverado Classic 3500 DRW CC 4x4 D/A. We only have done a short drive to our daughter's and back, it seems to run great. Will find out more when I have a bit more time to check it all out.

I was wondering when you got the truck. When you emailed and said you traded to a 3500 I did't remember a post. Congrats. See you at the rally or sooner. Maybe FJ. London.

Thanks for the good wishes, this is our second Duramax truck. We were very happy with our '01 2500HD. We bought that one when we had a 32ft Citation travel trailer, as we have progressed from that, through a Montana 3255, and now a 3670, we gradualy loaded up the 2500HD until we were exceeding the GRWR by more than I was really comfortable with, although the D/A pulled it just fine.

We looked at the various SRW options, but concluded that the only sure way to avoid exess loading of the truck was to go with a DRW, and if we were going to go that route, we chose to stand pat with the Chev. and just go with the 3500. We opted for the 2007 "Classic" version (really just a 2006 sold in the 2007 model year) to avoid the fuel and power robbing comlications that will be introduced on the later 2007 models by new environmental regulations.

One thing we noticed right off the bat, is how quiet the new Duramax is. On our first test drive, I even wondered if it really was a diesel!

Today we are expecting heavy rain from the remnants of Hurricane Ernesto, so I probably will not be doing much outside with the truck or anything else!

Congratulations on your new dually. You can never have too much truck. The Duramax is one sweet engine. I know many Duramax owners very well. All very pleased with their trucks. Take care.

Congrats on your new truck...they sure smell good!

As one new dually driver to another, I'll tell you what I've been doing. On the split screen outside mirrors, I keep the lower part of both left and right mirrors tilted down at such an angle so that I can see where that outside rear wheel is going. The right one tends to wander toward the curb!

Congratulations, John and Donna! I'd like to see it and maybe go for a ride at the rally!

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!
