Anyone have a campground recommendation within 50 miles of Billings Montana?

Stayed in Hardin (east of Billings) KOA several years ago, nice park, but not a lot of shade. Good location for touring area

I live in Billings Montana. I could give you many suggestions but I would need to know what activities you hope to do while you are here and when you are planning on coming because some campsites are closed during certain times of the year. Just let me know. You can PM me if you want to ask me specific questions.

The one I DO NOT recommend is the KOA in Billings.. Yellowstone is just down the road from them and they are very nice. The koa is a nice park but the owners/manager is the worst lady I have ever met. It was just a year ago when Bill had to have open heart surgery while we were there and they would not allow me to stay even long enough for him to get out of the hospital.. Thanks to our good friends here on this forum, arrangements were made to help me move to Yellowstone for the next 6 weeks... I have nothing against KOA's. Just the one in Billings and Bozeman (same owners).

WOW Helen! That is horrible of them! That is sad to hear because Billings is where KOA started! I hope Bill is much better and has recovered 100%! Thanks for the input...I will be careful where I recommend in the future!
