Pressure Pro Tire Monitoring System

I just came back from a weekend trip with a friend and he was telling me about the Pressure Pro Tire Monitoring System by Doran. The tire monitors mount on the valve stem of each tire. Has anyone had any experience with this type of system??

We have the Doran tire pressure monitor. We wouldn't do without it. We have them on all 4 trailer tires and 4 truck tires. Works great! and has saved us from one tire being ruined and damage to Monty. An alarm goes off if air pressure starts going down a few pounds.
Have not had any problem getting signal to the monitor in the truck. Can check the tire pressure on all 8 tires while traveling down the road.
The company is good to work with you. We had one valve thing came broken and they replaced it with no charge.
We have metal valve stems on our trailer and are going to replace the ones on truck but don't really need to have metal with this item but they recommend it. Been using it year and half.

If your thinking about getting a new TV in the near future you may want to check if it doesn't already hava a TPMS on it as these are pricey and standard equipment on trucks/cars by Nov 07

- Edit - I think I suffered a brain cramp here. Having the TPMS system on the car does nothing necessarily to address the tires on the trailer -

We have the Pressure pro as well. I can say it is one thing that I would not do without. It gives me piece of mind while towing. Sometimes we drive hard days in the low light hours. That makes it hard to see the tires to make sure they are holding air. With just the push of a button I know instantly what my tire pressures are and check them often. I also don't have to rely on someone coming up from behind and alerting me that I have lost a tire.

We've had the Pressure Pro on 2 trailers now, and wouldn't be without it. All the same positive comments the others have made, ditto.

Would like to buy a pressure monitoring system. Here is my dilemna. I find two different (?) systems in this months Trailer Life Mag. One is by Doran and the other is by Pressure Pro. They sure look the same, and on the front of the Doran it even says Pressure Pro. A little difference in price. Is one a "knock-off" or are both the same? Can anyone elaborate on this?

I bought 8, 4 each for the truck and rig. Really work well. For full pressure, the green flag shows. When two pounds under, red flag; When 4 or more pounds under, yellow. I've found them to be very accurate and you can get them in several pressure ratings. I have the 80 psi kind. I believe it was Ozz who put me on to them.

Here is a dealer. He says that Doran is a Pressure Pro dealer

The only problem I had was RF interference cause by my Ham Radio. Their frequency was 3 time higher than the 2 meter band (147 MHz) and next door to the 440 MHz band. My ham radio keep locking up the receiver. It worked great otherwise.

I got the 'cheap' manual system (the screw on the valve stem with colored indicators) that you have to look at to determine pressure. Works for me though so far. I actually check my tire pressure more often now than when I had to use a guage.

We got our pressure pro units from Doran. We like it because we don't have to stop and check the tires. Works for us.
