305RL Height
Just bought a 2018 HC305RL does anyone know the height with the 2nd. factory air conditioner on it. Not clear on the brochure if the height is with 1 or 2 air conditioner's. Thanks in advance.

I recall my 18, 305RL measuring 13,'2" to top of front A/C (when level), but that will depend on if the trailer is level when towing. My RV garage door opening is 13', 5" and it cleared the door by approx 3" inches when I had the OEM Raineer tires on it. I upgraded to Sailun tires and went with the higher 85 series (taller) tire and now it just barely clears by a couple of inches. The front of the HC 305RL is tall, but it's still not as tall as the big Montana's.

You can’t really go by the height the factory says or someone else’s unit. The hitch height in your truck will be different and that affects the height of the front of the camper and that is the highest part of your camper. The only way to know is measures it hooked up to your truck.

My 2020/373RD measured 13' 2" before IS and 13' 3" after IS and new pin box sitting on 85 series Sailun Tires. Basically same as '17 305RL

You're probably going to be in the range of 13'-2" to 13'-4". A lot depends on your truck and your hitch setup as well. Hook to your truck and park on a level spot. Use a 4 foot level and get on your roof with a tape measure. Places the level on the front ac unit and level to one side of the fiver. Drop the tape to the ground and have your spouse hold the end to the ground and then simply measure to your 4 foot level while holding level to the unit. Do this and you will ALWAYS know your height at those gas station canopies!

Thanks everyone. I was going to measure when all hooked up. Was just wondering if there was a number out there. Picking up this weekend and want to put height in my GPS for trip home.

My 2020 373RD in specs says 13'4" - measured with larger tires at 13'2" before IS install and then 13'4"

Our '14 343RL is right at a measured 13'5" over the front a/c. My GPS is set at 13'8" which is 2" more then interstate overpasses. This is a "comfort zone" setting. Also - all overpasses are not correctly marked on secondary roads since local highway departments will seldom update the signs after a repaving which may be several inches.

hight
just find a railroad bridge listed as 12-13 feet clearance. go as fast as you can under it. now you know within a inch how tall you are. but please post up video of it .
not really just being a ().
get your rig set up, on level ground, have some 1X2 lumber build up a board assembly level with the top of your rv ( at the highest point) one of these boards hangs out off the roof then using a tape see how far to the ground..
this gives you a working knowledge of your static hight..
add in a number of inches for safety. then have fun
most bridges are well above 14 feet. dot thing here.
but back east there are many that are below 12 feet. watch out for them. some are not posted.

My advice is to load it for a typical trip and connect it to the truck. Then, when parked on flat and level ground, get up on the roof and measure the height. When I did mine I used a broom stick, a small level and a tape measure. I put the broom stick on the highest point of the front A/C and let the rest of the broom stick hang out over the side of the Monty. Then I used the level to be sure the broom stick was straight across and dropped a tape to the ground to get the reading. I suppose one person could do it but it was easier with two.
