Check those suspension shackles

I was under my rid (2007 - 3500RL) recently and noticed a crack at one of the suspensions??? I called Mor-Ryed and discussed what I saw and they said they needed to be replaced. I never realized this could happen. That must have been what was making my passenger front tire track wrong wearing one side of the tire. Here is what I found when they were replaced. The tears were also on the top of the both shackles.

I'm seeing what looks like deteriorated rubber pieces. If that's what you're referring to, then good catch, because they look bad.

Found the same thing last year on my rig. Not too bad of a job to replace.

I replaced the rubber springs on our rig a few months ago, no where near as bad as those, along with one broken leaf spring pack. I was surprised at how much the rubber had sagged compared to a new one. This photo is the better of the two next to a new one.

Although not nears as bad as yours ... same thing happened to me a few years back. Here's a thread with a few photos. I noticed my fiver was listing a bit and crawled under to look things over. That's when I found my tears.
