2006 GMC Frame brackets for Reese hitch
I went to our local RV Service Center today and asked if I could buy just the 4 brackets to install the rails for my Reese hitch in my 2006 GMC K3500. He told me that there wasn't any brackets made for that model truck....So my question is: how do we attach the Reese rails to the bed of that model truck??? Do you guys have any suggestions.......Thanks

Universal brakets and drill the frame to mount them. At least that is how it was done on my previous 05 Chevy K3500 Dually (it was part of the deal to buy the Monty, the 20K hitch and install). Bought the custom made brakets from Reese for my 2011, mates up with holes already in the box frame. Good luck

Go directly to Reese, or Go to a good machine shop and have them made.
My TV is 06 Chev 3500 dually and no problem with the install. It was installed by a local Reese dealer.

https://www.etrailer.com/ They show the kit for the 06. I ordered the brackets only for our 09. It took four tries and several phone calls before I got all the right hardware to install the brackets. I finally called Cequent Towing, and they shipped me the right stuff. Our truck is a short bed, and some of the bolts near the fuel tank were a PITA to get to. Hopefully the long bed will be simpler.

Sounds like your local rv service center really isn't interested in your business
