Backsplash

I am thinking about putting up a backsplash behind the stove on the wallpaper wall. I am looking at the small tiles that come in 12 x 12 sheets. Has anyone done this ? Will the tiles stick on the wallpaper ? Suggestions ?

I read somewhere that this product from Home Depot was used. I think it would stick to wallpaper if the paper was in good condition.

We did it and we love it! Got our smart tiles at Lowes. If I can figure out how to post a picture, I'll show you!

Here is ours. We put them up right over the wallpaper.

Several have done this, search archives for tile backsplash or similar words. I used tile from hd and put them up using construction adhesive, then used tile edging to form border around them, finished with regular grout. No issues to date with install. Did peal off border prior...and that oem backsplash is regular glass so be careful. John

I used the Smart Tiles from Home Depot. You can go on the manufactures website and viewed many of their samples. I knew what color palate we wanted and they even sent me some small samples. The product is great, easy to install and has held up well. Ours are two years old and we have had no issues. Just finished putting them in the bath.
