2011 Chev/GM 3500HD

I couldn't find a previous post to answer my question.
Does anyone know the trucks box rail height to fiver clearance?
On my '06 it's over 8 inches and Monty is level, and the newer trucks seem so much higher, and the boxes deeper.
I like my dually, but the 2011 1 ton SRW (diesel) has an 11,500 GVWR and comes in a short box....6'6".

Thanks in advance

Pete

Pete, yes the box sides are higher, but the bed itself is just about the same. I'm down to about 6 inches clearance now, and yes I did have the nearly 8 inches on my 05, but remember I have the Dually so I'm limited to the 17 inch wheels, there are several options on the SRW which might make your bed rail heights different. Love my 11 Dually and wouldn't tow with any thing else, but that's our preference, plus we have a Pontiac G6 at the stick house for everyday use, but it doesn't get used much as we haven't hardly been home long enough.

We have the 2011 Chevy 3500HD DRWs and the 5er is riding on a Trailer Saver air ride hitch and I used 3" spacer kit and I have 6" clearance, which I think its the minimun for my use. However I have a hauler bed on order and will then have no clearance issues. We are on the road now and this is our 2nd trip and so for the 2011 Chevy (3,600 miles on the clock)is awesome, excellent power and torq....
