Converter Problems ?

Hello to all and thanks for the help in advance.
My name is Jerry Smith we are in Alaska and have been since May and will leave in Sept.
We are 200 hundred miles from the nearest dealer at Denali National park where we drive a bus for the summer.
Last evening 12V lights got very dim checked one of the 110 breakers and it had triped I reset and got a big pop .Can someone help me figure out what is going on? Have charger on battery and check all ground fault plugs still not working. 2008 Montana 5295Rk ..Do we have an inline fuse? any help would be appreciated...

Our old 55amp Iota had 1 or 2 fuses on it. Not sure what type you have but but you can check to see if there are any on yours.

I don't have a complete picture of your situation but you need to find out what caused the breaker to pop and fix that first.

As others have mentioned, probably 1 or 2 fuses on your converter, however, find out what popped when you reset the breaker. Try to find what all tripped breaker supplies and look for shorts or grounds. Wouldn't recommend trying to keep on resetting that breaker. That could certainly give it the smoke test, but you might have more smoke than you bargined for.

This particular converter is somewhat notorious for tripping the circuit breaker. I have no idea why though. The unit itself has a twist in fuse, which is probably what you heard pop. Turn off the circuit breaker, replace the fuse, turn off everything, and then try flipping the breaker back on.
