Moldy Bread

Over the last three years we have a problem with bread going moldy after a week. We normally store it in the microwave. We used to store it in the fridge but that made it hard and it seemed to get stale faster. Two weeks ago we were with some friends in Myrtle beach and my buddy's wife told us to try potato bread. She said it lasts for as much as three weeks or longer without getting moldy. So we got some and she is right, we have been through two loaves and no mold. It is a bit yellow but stays soft and is very tasty. So if you have a problem with your bread getting moldy, try potato bread. We are using Arnolds brand but most stores carry several brands... Dave and Betsy-- Try using the "Green bag" that are advertised on TV and in some stores! We got some for Christmas and have used them and they really do work! Don't know how but they do work! They make special ones for bread so if you can't find them right off the bat keep looking and you'll find them! Good luck!
Oh, by the way, moldy bread is good for you-- it has all that raw penicillin in it so you don't need to go to the doc as much!!

Dave, you do know about P'cillin, right?[]

The "green" bags do work well.
