There are RV air conditioners out there that now include a heat pump. You may have one or you may have a generic thermostat that is set up to run one. Why don't you try it and see if it puts out heat.

BTW, our thermostat and the instructions that came with it are for two air conditioners. We have only one, so all of the stuff to operate the second doesn't work. You may have a similar situation.
