We had our flashlight on our PDI list for them to check. Ours wasn't working so they replaced it. I don't know if it was the flashlight or the charger. I do know that it works.

Maybe its the bulbs getting jiggled around from assembly and shipping. I could see them not working because of that.
It seams the bulb is always the last thing to check. (At least in my case)

Our AudioVox flashlight (2001) quit during winter storage. Worked fine last Fall but nothing this spring. I opened the case and took the batteries (two wafer type in series) to the local Battery's are us store and for 6 bucks they made up a new battery pack. Put everything back together and it works better than new. Just hate to throw anything away without understanding why it quit. Those rechargeable batteries eventually will not hold a charge. Sometimes they can fail almost new out of the box. Real handy light and I always (well almost always) know right where to find it. Of course we have several others in strategically located areas but the Montana light is special.

The light is also real handy with the magnetic back to stick onto things and with the pivoting lens to aim the light.
I checked last night and mine is an Audiovox also.
It may not hurt to run the batteries down once in a while. I have heard this helps eliminate battery "memory".

Dano,
The lens on mine pivots about 30 degrees. It pulls out on either the back or front, I cant remember which.
This is off subject, but another thing the wife found after 2 years of camping is that the little end table has a folding lid on the top shelf. There is a small storage area in there.
Wonder what I'll find in the future?

Yes they do all pivot. Kinda hard to move but just pull on the top of the lens along the wide part and it ratchets out and down.
Found the hidden key storage? Most of the newer Montana's have a window molding that hinges. I have only seen pictures but I think it is in the bedroom. There was a thread about thingys last year and many people did not know about some of these hidden extras.

Now I'll have to go on a hunt for the key storage.

Merv, Our flashlight lens DOES pivot!! Not much, but it makes a difference. Cool. Learn something new everyday - especially on the MOC.

I can't wait to get home to check and see if our flashlight pivots. We wouldn't be without ours, LOVE IT! We have only had our Monty since May. It is true, find something new all the time!
Have a safe and happy fourth of July!

Hey there Lisa!
We have a 2003 3655fl, the front floor plan. We just purchased it in February and picked it up in May. We are busy right now getting it ready for us to live in while I am in school in CA. Tinkering around in it all the time!
Guess what! Our flashlight's head pivots too! Steve already knew that; he's the smart one.
Happy fourth of July!

When we picked our camper up the flashlight did not work either. Our monty is a 2006 3500rl. But since the flashlight is only $7.00 of course they replaced it without question.

I saw this post a while back and I had to check mine out . It did not work. So I beat the mess out it and now it works fine. I did this about two months ago and I keep telling my wife my light works.

Ours works now. A five minute job to reconnect wire turned into a 2 hour job. Mostly because of where it is and the tight area we had to work. Plus the bifocals don't work well in some situations and this was one. We finally did it and everything is working fine.
Happy trails.....................

Lord knows we can't be without our flashlight! We use it constantly. How did you manage all this time without one, Sue? Glad yours is in working condition now!
