Replace Old Bat Wing TV Antenna

I am thinking of replacing the original bat wing TV antenna with a newer digital low profile TV antenna. If you have done this, what model antenna did you install and any comments???

I replaced the bat wing with a digital antenna on my SOB. My rig came with a Winegard Rayzar Z1 antenna.

Although it doesn't look as "neato peto" as some of the new solid mount antennas ... we tried adding the Wingman UHF booster for the Winegard Sensar antennas. It's easy to add to your batwing (if that's what you have) and works good for us. Many of the digital channels are in (or are going to) the UHF frequency by 2020. The Wingman is for these UHF channels.

I installed a King Jack antenna. Works great and took about 15 minutes to install.

I did the same as dieselguy. Works great. In Quartzsite I always get at least 25 HD channels. Where lots of people go wrong is that when they move the antenna for better reception you "must" do a channel scan on your TV "each" time. If not you have gained nothing.
