Splendide Washer
Splendide recommends inspecting washer water inlet line once a year. Very prone to breaks/leaks due to constant movement. Our washer/dryer sits in bedroom closet. Very little wiggle room. In order to inspect, hubby would have to remove door, door trim, and bedroom drawers attached to adjacent wall in order to have the room to bring the units out. Also would inpact dryer vent that is vented to the outside. In hindsight, we should have installed the stainless steel water line and that will happen should we do the above scenario. Does anyone feel the prevention is worth the aggravation? Or has anyone had the line break or crack?

I've never had a break of leak in our first 7 years of full timing, but when we changed rigs we installed stainless the second time. About a year later it finally died and we didn't replace it. So basically 6 years and 80,000 miles on the first set of hoses.

Our Splendide has been in two Montana's since 2006.The only problem we had was a broken door handle never a leak and we have never inspected the lines.

First alert water alarm
https://www.amazon.com/First-Alert-W...t+water&sr=8-3
Of course it only works if you are around to hear it. Had a leak at the house. After clean up i installed all stainless steel braded lines EVERYWHERE (washing machine, sinks, toilets) also installed water alarm under every sink and on the floor in front of the washing machine. Saved us a few times when the front door seal leaked. Some recommend turning off water when leaving your rig. I'm inclined to agree.
