Karl,
We contacted everyone except D&L in Wenatchee when we purchased our second “Montana” from Tacoma RV. Everyone came into the same price range for what we wanted, and our unit is fully loaded as I stated in my PM. It came down to how far we wanted to go for our warranty item’s if needed and based on our history working with Les and the service department on our prior unit 2003 3295 Big Sky and how much they went out of the way to make us happy.
We’ve heard too many bad stories about the dealer up north and their service department and not just from the members on this forum.
That said we think you are getting a good price based on the price increases that have come from Keystone in the last two years.
Now you can start shopping for all the junk to put into the Montana, and you will want to get a better sewer hose. The one that comes in the kit is not very good and a little short for most hook ups.
Good luck and happy camping. Let’s just hope the record rains head back east for the summer and let us dry out so our web feet can dry out?

Dick,

Yes the $45,800 was without the Governor's sales tax. Delivery was $3200.

I also forgot to mention...the dealership included and installed a Reese 5er hitch with a 16K Kwik Slide. The other dealership I was negotiating with wanted to charge me an extra $1100.00 for the hitch. When they realized I was going someplace else...all bets were off...LOL They started offering me everything except a trip to the moon if I would go with them. Well, y'all had your chance, now you're just showing how underhanded and devious you can be. So, I went with the people I felt were above board and as honest as a business can be. Jan

I"ve been doing a little research to see if you are getting the best price out there. I have dealt with a dealer out of Hamilton, Ohio in the past. Gave Jerry a call and he quoted me a price of 40,915{including dealer prep}. This of course is if you picked it up yourself. This unit is in stock its a 2007 model. you can go to their wb site to check out all the options that are included. Just a quick check it appeared to be set up just like the one you ordered. You may want to give Jerry a quick call before you finalize your deal. Do you have a 3 day right of recision? Their phone # is 513 539-0000. google Couch's Campers to get to their website. Good luck with your purchase.

Did you get a $1500 manufacturer's rebate? Keystone's website has extended it through Feb.
I live in Bellevue and am also close to buying, probably through Tacoma RV.

WE DID IT!! WE SIGNED PAPERS TODAY!! After 5 long years of looking we have purchase our Montana 3400RL. We went in and negotiated yet one more time and we got it for $45,500 vic the $45,800 that we had gotten down to the last time. Our 3400RL will be built mid March with delivery the first of May. Now we have the long wait.

Judyuk,

The $1500 manufacturer's rebate on Keystone's website is for 2006 modles only. We didn't want somthing that has been sitting on the lot for over a year. One of our requirements was that the unit not be built until March of this year.

Congrats, Karl! Isn't it a great feeling?

*On Edit~ Karl you need to call Keystone direct on that rebate. I think it's still going on. They started that last fall at the Rally. They had been making 2007s since June 2006. Ours was built July 17, 2006. It is a 2007 3400RL.

Dave,

I just sent the dealer an e-mail to see if we qualify for the Keystone rebate. I was under the impression that it was only on 2006 unit sitting on dealers lots. We will see what the dealer says. I will let you know what happens.

When we asked about the rebate on ours they told us it was for 2006 models only, whereas ours is a 2007.

I think you may be right on this rebate being targeted at existing inventory, and anything ordered is not covered. But for this to only include "2006" models, that means that eligble units that are sitting on lots could not have been manufactured after June 1st, 2006. Is that correct?

This means that, theoretically, if a 3400RL was manufactered on June 15, 2006, then shipped to a dealership, and it is still sitting on his lot, that this unit is ineligible for the rebate as it is technically a "2007" (anything mfrd after June 1, 2006), not a "2006" model?

Dave,

I asked Keystone about the rebate and received the below from Craig Crouch:

Please go to our website, keystonerv.com and click on the rebate. The rebate only applies to 2006 models.

Thank you

Tampa, Fla. RV Show. I was told that all the 2007 models are coming straight from the factory. Not via the dealers. Also whatever the sticker price is, they are automatically knocking off $10,000. You might be able to negotiate more than that. Base price for the 3400RL is $48,175, Value Package $2595, Moving to Montana Pkge.$3895, and always RVIA Seal $98, plus a lot of other add ons. With all the changes, I am sure the 2007's will be a bit more than the 2006's especially since they have them on hand. Hope this bit helps you in your negotations.

The 2007's have been out for awhile. I have a 2006 3400 built in April of 2006, Dsprik has a 2007 3400 built in June or July of 2006..
"Tampa, Fla. RV Show. I was told that all the 2007 models are coming straight from the factory. Not via the dealers. That would mean that we would order from the factory and they would deliver to your door..not likely.

Agree.

Our 3400 was built in Jun/Jul, we picked it up (from the dealer) on Aug 4.

I checked with "that dealer up North" as we went to visit the kids in Bellingham over the weekend and they quoted me a delivery freight cost of just under $3K. So your's looks right. As we left they told me that they had no idea of what the interior colors for the new Big Sky was going to be. We walked out the door and I told them to look in the upper left corner of the price sheet for a list of the colors and they all stood there with there mouths hung open. It was worth the time spent.

I think I will try and find out what they want for a Big Sky in Tacoma. If you ever get over the big hill to the Columbia Basin drop me a line and would love to get together.

Good luck with your new toy,
Dick & Jackie Driver

Dick, you are in Ephrata. I stay athe Oasis a couple of times a year. Think I may try out Stars and Stripes this year. I am in the process of setting up my year. First time out will be March 4 to Vancouver. Have a great day.

Mike we are just 3 miles due west on Martin road from Oasis, stop and say hello, we are the only home with a Montana in the front yard. Stars and Stripes is a little further from the train so quieter. There is some one that has a Montana and is spending the winter at Oasis, burrrrrr.

$10,000 off???? I find it hard to believe that Keystone would knock off that kind of money from their top selling units. It would make me question how good their units are if all of a sudden they started dropping their price that much. The only time a vendor does something like that is when they want to dump old stock. We have sealed the deal on a new 2007, and we feel that $45,500 with everything on it was a good deal for our area. Our unit will not be built until mid March, so it is not an old unit sitting on the dealer’s lot.

Dick and Mike: We are looking at the Moses Lake/Ephrata area this summer to take the new Montana to. Which RV resorts do you recommend? And Dick…If and when we come over your way we will defiantly give you a call so we can try to hook-up.
