Fireplace quit

We were showing a neighbor the Monte, had the fireplace lights on, and I smelled something like plastic burning, never a good thing.
I found the fireplace lights on, but no flame flicker. The little motor that turns the tinsel reflective bar had burned up.
I called the dealership and told them to send me a new motor, the service manager said they would probably want to change the whole fireplace out. Maybe they can't get individual parts easily, whatever they want to do, but it seems like a cheaper way to just send me the tiny little motor.

sheeesh, It had to happen when you were showing someone. Isn't that always the way.
Is your OEM fireplace a Dimplex?

I'm not sure, I didn't see a brand name, I'll look around.
